How Bespoke Works: A Concept, a Reference, or a Blank Page

You don’t need to arrive with an answer. Cizele isn’t a catalogue, it’s an atelier that builds each piece around the person wearing it, starting from wherever you actually are.

Arriving with a concept already in mind

Some clients know exactly what they want, a setting, a stone shape, a detail imagined for years. We turn that into something real, in the metal and finish that suit it, without diluting the original idea.

Arriving with a reference, not a finished concept

Most clients land here: a photo, a piece a friend wears, one detail they keep coming back to. We’re not copying it, we’re using it to understand your instinct, then designing something genuinely yours around it.

Arriving with nothing at all

Plenty of pieces start with no reference, just a sense of the person it’s for. A designer walks you through shapes, settings and metals until something clicks.

You do not need an answer. You just need to start talking.

What actually happens after that first conversation

Once a design is agreed, the piece is modeled, historically by hand-carved wax, today more often by CAD, then cast in your chosen metal, hand-finished, and set with your chosen stone once it arrives and is verified against its certificate. Each stage is a real craft step, not an automated one, which is why the full process typically takes four to eight weeks depending on how involved the design is.

Who chooses bespoke, and why it isn’t automatically more expensive

Bespoke is often assumed to mean significantly higher cost, but the price difference against a comparable ready-made piece is usually smaller than expected, since you are paying for the specific stone and metal you choose either way. What bespoke actually buys is specificity: the exact setting, the exact proportions, built around your hand and your idea, not a mass-produced size run.

What to actually bring to a consultation

Nothing is required. If you have a reference image, a family stone, or a specific budget in mind, bringing it helps the first conversation move faster, but arriving with only a rough sense of what you like is entirely enough to start.
